The Eclipses Call Attention to the Urantia Revelation
These two total solar eclipses occur within 7 years of each other, a spiritually significant number and cross over each other at a spiritually significant time and place.
A crossing of total solar eclipses occurs only once every 375 years and can happen anywhere on the planet.

Why is The Timing Significant?

The 2017 eclipse began at 11:52 am at the point of intersection of the two eclipses which is about the time given in The Urantia Revelation of Jesus’ birth. “…and at noon, August 21, 7 B.C …Mary was delivered of a male child.

The 2024 eclipse ends at the point of intersection at 3:18pm on the 8th when Jesus has been in the tomb 24 hours since his death.
Three is a significant number in that “….at just before three o’clock when Jesus with a loud voice, cried out, ‘It is finished! Father, into your hands I commend my spirit.’ And when he had thus spoken, he bowed his head and gave up the life struggle.”

The fact that April 8th, 30 CE is now recognized by scholars, 2 to 1*, as the most likely date of Jesus’ time in the tomb gives even more credence to The Urantia Revelation’s date. It is even more amazing that the time in the tomb is the perfect symbolic time for a total solar eclipse in which the world is plunged into darkness awaiting His resurrection and return of his light.
How Rare is This?
- Before 2017, the last total solar eclipse to occur on August 21st was in 1914. The next total solar eclipse on August 21st will be in 2734. Neither occurs in the US.
- Since 2000 BCE there have been only 5 total solar eclipses on April 8th. The next one will be in 2722. None except the 2024 will be or have been over the US.
Where The Eclipses Cross – Is That Significant?
The eclipses are crossing in the middle of the United States over a park called the Bald Knob Cross of Peace where a 111 foot-tall cross was erected as a national symbol of faith. When illuminated at night, the cross can be seen over an area of 7,500 square miles at the most prominent elevation in Southern Illinois.
The cross is surrounded by the Shawnee National Forest. The forest occupies land near the route followed by the Cherokee in December 1838 during their forced relocation in the Trail of Tears.
The 2 eclipses cross each other in Southern Illinois, the same state where the Urantia Revelation was given to humankind back in the 1920’s and 1930’s. The book was published in 1955 by the Urantia Foundation and has remained a book of interest to truth seekers the world over ever since.
